Betty Sue is a recent member of Burbank Art Association and has won four top awards for her abstract paintings.
Betty became interested in art at a very early age being a daughter of a well-known professional clothing designer. She was always captivated by the brilliant colors and myriad of designs in the fabric stores that she and her mother frequented several times a week. Often, she would take her sketch book and help design clothing with her mother who cut her own patterns and used the beautiful fabric she would buy for her clientele.
Being part of the "Hippie Generation" allowed Betty Sue to continue expressing her creativity all the more through sculpture, collage, and painting. She prefers painting in the abstract which enables her to create and design her own individual fabric on canvas.
