I have always loved art and enjoyed drawing. I have studied over the years with several teachers in drawing, charcoal studies and perspective. In the late 70's I joined an art class to learn more about art, composition and how to paint in oils. My teacher belonged to Burbank Art Association and invited the class to attend one of their meetings I joined B.A.A. in 1980 and have served on the board for many years and have held numerous offices including President in 1992.

I have continued my studies, taken art classes in many media, read how to books and have attended workshops through B.A.A. I now enjoy painting in pastels and acrylics. I participated in Arts and Crafts shows with my sister for thirteen years. As Country Sisters we did many shows in the city of Burbank. I paint almost every day on wood trays, old wood bowls, all kinds of interesting surfaces paint a lot of roosters, I also sell on ebay. I like to make crafts and enjoy painting an occasional subject on canvas or watercolor paper. In our spring show I finally won my first blue ribbon for a floral arrangement, was so exciting, plus won a third in the same show. Only took me 20 plus years to get that blue ribbon!! I also enjoy Co-Chairing gallery shows with our President Doris Vick.

I am currently the Honors Division Chairman putting together another gallery show in October, with Arline Helm, Open Division Chairman. I have held many offices and served as Program Chairman for 7 years. . I am very proud to have built the website for Burbank Art Association. We hope you will learn about B.A.A. and join our organization. I now have a new hobby, becoming a passion raising the Hawaiian Plant Plumeria, proud of my blooms.
